I ordered a Grande Caramel Frappe a few hours ago and completely forgot how taking such a high dose of sugar can keep me hyped up and would definitely add to my fats.
(*By the way, according to Nestle's Wellness Wheel, I'm underweight. My ideal weight is 122 lbs at 5'4. Heck. How come the flabs say otherwise?)
Now, I can't sleep. Even if I want to. I PLAN to wake up at 5pm, which is a few hours from now, to jog. I hope I commit to that this time cos yesterday was a total failure. My jogging partner, Maan, is such a flaker.
I had fun catching up with my high school friends, Sarah, Songkie and Michelle, with Kara. Our "dinner" finally pushed through. I haven't seen them for years! It seems so long ago but as Michelle said, put us in our school uniforms once again and we'd still look the same. Had sushi from Omakase, which was really good. Then, the early summer heat summoned us to buy something cold. We were supposed to buy Quickly but ended up in Starbucks -- where I got my sugar drink that's keeping me up right now. We learned about digital printing and how to check if a magazine was printed digitally or off-set, and a "manghuhula" supposedly needs to have a witness to be more effective. Also learned that Songkie and boyfriend are NEDA's Mr. & Ms. Valentine. Yes naman... Go Vana! Haha. I remember Ms. Dela Paz and the painting (was it a painting with the V in the middle???). Sarah's kwentos about her not so ordinary friends and Blue Colar admirers were both amusing and hilarious.
I promise to see them again... soon. With Rye in Bicol, I think I'll take this chance to reconnect with people both from school and in the ministry. Promise.
School Updates
16 weekdays before Moving Up Day
Class was a bit rowdy today. Lots of throwing and shouting from my kids, yet I still managed to smile at the end of the day after getting reassuring hugs from them. Kinda frustrating sometimes, but the challenge of surviving each school day has kept me going. I'm actually pondering if Toddlers is really for me. I remember Teacher Cecilia telling me how my voice is "very toddler" after observing me during my first days with the Playgroup, but am I really for Toddlers? Cos when I compare how I manage my toddlers and my nursery kids, I feel more effective with the older ones. But then again, my nursery kids have been with us for almost one school year now and they've adjusted quite well and simply grown up. I've been with the Playgroup for just a month and a half, with a thrice a week schedule. And seeing how different the Toddler Class is from the Playgroup, maybe I could give it a chance...
Rye Updates
41 days till I visit Rye
I'm flying to Naga during the Holy Week! My first time to fly alone. Daddy allowed me and it really came as a pleasant surprise. I felt like an adult. Haha. The confusion that comes with emerging adulthood.
I am excited! We might join Bjorn and friends in Sorsogon to see the whalesharks or just spend the time in CWC, if it's open.
I'm finally booked! It took several tries though, because Cebu Pac's online booking sucks. That's the price you pay for cheap airfare.
Long distance relationships do not come cheap by the way.
But I am soooooo looking forward to my 3, yes 3 (as of now) exciting trips this summer. I'm booked and hooked.
Time to get some ZZZZZzzzzs.
Ciao!
