It's been such a long time since my last and very first entry. I vowed to write regularly since then but ultimately failed. Haha. Things had just been crazy. Time is such a meager resource these days. School has been sucking out the best of me. Readings... readings... and more readings. Research... research... and more research. It's finally sinking in. I am definitely back to school. I am loving the student life once again. Not. Hehe. But I have to do this... whether it brings me to my dream of putting up my own school or to that path leading to more studying - which is to obtain my Ph.D in Clinical Psychology or Psy.D somewhere in the world so I may finally practice what I laboriously worked hard for.

Right now, I just thank God for the holiday. Yes, it's supposed to be a working holiday. But one of the best perks of being a preschool teacher is not having to go to work at the slightest typhoon signal and of course, during holidays for students.

Right now, I am ultimately missing Rye, who just started his 4-month stint in Naga. I am so looking forward to May. Thank God for cheap flights. =)

Right now, I intend to write about random stuff. Yes, random. Cos my mind is just that.. Sabog. I don't want to think hard at this very moment because in a few hours, I have to focus all my energies once again on important matters. school matters. student matters. teacher matters.

25 random things actually has its origins in facebook. But after everyone has already written theirs, I think it has passed. So I missed my chance. Haha. People are now going crazy tagging their friends on a picture of cartoonish characters. Anyway, this is a tad bit late but I am going to post it anyway... and I am going to write as much as I can.

1. I graduated TOP 9 of my batch in KINDER, GRADE SCHOOL and HIGH SCHOOL.
2. I missed being a Magna Cum Laude by .03 points. Yeah, it sucks. If only math was kinder to me.
   
3. I don't like carrots.
4. I love mediterranean / persian food. Kebab is the way to go. Cafe Med, Mister Kabab and Little Tehran -- Gotta love 'em.
5. A bunsen burner exploded on my face while doing an experiment for a chem class during 1st year college. I was not worried if my face got burned. My initial response was to check if my hair was fine. Haha.
6. My ultimate dream destination is Greece. I will go there when I am 30 and Rye is 33.
7. I've been a member of the Bukas Loob sa Diyos Youth Ministry since 2002. 7 years!
8. I hit my head on a door when I was 4. Why? Because my yaya forgot that I was trailing behind her and banged the door on me! I sustained 3 stiches on my forehead. I went to the ER in my PJs and was wondering why I had blood on my shirt.
9. I was ashamed to have crushes as a teen. I was too shy to acknowledge the feeling. Weird.
10. Rye dreamt of having a PRESCHOOL TEACHER for a girlfriend because at that time, Richard Gomez' girlfriend was a preschool teacher. Feeling Goma. Haha. Guess what?! I am a preschool teacher. He told me about this a few months ago. Cool.
11. I watched Titanic 5 times. Yuck!
12. I have seen A Walk to Remember at least 10 times. It's my fave. I even read the book.
13. I love going to bookstores with Rye even if we don't really buy the books we check out. It's a date staple.
14. I superduper love BOOKSALE (yes, the one with the green and white sign). I feel a different kind of rush whenever I'm there. I always head to the Children's book section. Imagine getting a board book originally priced at P400 for P65!
    
15. Because of the Booksale bargain, I have started collecting Children's books... Oh, I've fallen in love with Dr. Seuss, Rainbow Fish, Sandra Boynton, Stella Luna, Audrey & Dawn Wood and many many more.
16. I want to write and publish a children's book someday. Rye will be my illustrator. Rob will be my layout artist.
    
17. I got a tres in Calculus (Math 100 sucks!). My lowest grade ever. I hate Math and Math hates me.
    
18. Ironically, I was part of the Math and Science section in high school.
19. I love Katipunan! I was once a Knoller and UP-er. Now, I am an Atenean.
20. My oreo banana cream pie is to die for!
21. I was a headhunter once. And I am thankful for meeting such great and accomplished "corporate" people. To have met the person behind the campaigns I see on TV and billboards and placed executives in top companies made me proud. However, I like being a teacher more. =)
22. My lolo used to call me No Tongue because I was No Talk.
23. I love COFFEE. But I think Starbucks is overrated and overpriced. Yet, I still buy.
    
24. I've been to Baguio every single year of my life. Even stayed in Hyatt before the earthquake.
25. Rye named my macbook Diego.
26. My first prom experience was with a cousin. Hulaan niyo nalang kung sino. Hehe.
27. I was always PINK 5 whenever we played BIOMAN as a kid.
28. I loved watching Princess Sarah when I was a kid. Who didn't?
29. Daddy didn't allow me to get my own pair of rollerblades. Bawal dahil delikado daw.
30. I was a clumsy kid. I was always tripping. One time, I decided to clean the car on a rainy day while in roller skates (skates, not blades! check 29. Haha.) Of course, I slid and sprained my ankle... or arm? I can't remember anymore.
31. I was such a huge SPICE GIRLS fan!!! I collected everything! I even had this gigantic poster that Tito Monz gave me. I literally begged my lola to contact my tita who lives in London to buy and ship to me the official books, magazines and merchandise. I so wanted to be a part of their official fans club and was feeling miserable because I lived in Manila so I couldn't join. I felt so bad when Geri left the group -- such a traitor! Mel C. was my favorite. I don't know why.
32. I love my students. They are so adorable. Except when they're having tantrums. But I love them still.
    
33. My high school barkada call ourselves ANGELS. Yuck. So Cheesy. When the boys came, we became ANGELS and COMPANY. When the babies came, we called them LITTLE ANGELS. The family has really grown. We now recognize the fact that we have all grown up and we are trying our best to "be" mature by trying out "mature stuff." hahaha.
34. I will graduate by 2010 0r early 2011. Amen!
35. 2012 is OUR goal. Hehe.
    
36. Rye is Kitkat and Maan's oldest (as in pinakamatanda at pinakamatagal) friend! He met the girls when they were still bungi and drinking milk from a bottle... and Maan was still a plato face. Haha. Peace, Maan!
    
37. I had a random idea last week... I thought of putting up a travel agency in the future. I really want to travel the world with Rye.
38. I bribed Mico to go with me during my "first date" with Rye. My Dad wouldn't allow me kasi to go alone. Hehe. I bought him a cap that day. Yuck, that was so long ago.
    
39. Rye and I have been together for 6 years, 1 month and 22 days as of today. I love him to bits.
    
40. I am going to Naga and Palawan in May! Yay! I am super excited.
    
41. I am running out of random things to write and I guess I'll have to continue this some other time...
